PRESENTATION

This is the first interdisciplinary congress held in Spain on voice, focusing on any of its aspects: phonetics, neuroscience, speech, singing voice, biomechanics, clinical and rehabilitation of voice and technology. The purpose is to bring all the researchers and interested in voice together.

CONGRESS FEES

Lecturers/Speakers:

• Ordinary: 110€

• Members of the Spanish Voice Institute: 90€

 

Attendants:

Regular: 80€

Members of the Spanish Voice Institute: 70€

 

* A certificate of attendance will be available to registered participants who attended at least 2/3rd of the Congress.

*Workshops fees are not included. Ask for the fees.

* IBRO has granted this Congress so the fees are reduced.

 

The registration payment will be via bank transfer. The organization will provide an account number when the registration period starts. In order to complete the bank transfer the attendant will have to indicate his/her name and surname. Under the transference concept the attendant will indicate: "Registration I CIEV"

Lecturers/Speakers should not enter the fee if the communication/lecture has not been accepted.

In the case of several authors, the communicator must be registered as Lecturer/Speaker and the rest of the team as attendants.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation by the organization

• The IEV reserves the right to cancel the activity if the minimum enrollment is not achieved, and also have the right to change the Congress date if necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organizers.

• In case of date change or cancellation, IEV fully refunded the registration fee, but will not be responsible for any expenses arising from attendance as buying transportation tickets or reservations of accommodation.

 

Cancellation by the attendant

• After the fee has been paid, the attendant may cancel his/her registration before October 31, 2016 by contacting the organization via email. In that case, the amount will be refunded except 10%, which will be retained for administrative expenses and except the social events fees.

• In case you did not cancel the registration or if you try to do it after October 31, 2016, the organization will not refund  the registration fee.

 

If the participant cannot attend the activity, he/she can assign the registration to another people but must the change to the organization with an advance of at least 48 hours. The organization must confirm the acceptance of the change. This change can only be made between categories with the same fee or from a higher fee in favour of a lower fee one. If the participant is a member of IEV, he/she cannot give his/her free registration to a non-member unless the difference  is paid on the first day of Congress.

COMMUNICATIONS

Working areas of the proposals:

The proposals will focus on any issue related to the voice from any point of view:

-The artistic/professional voice: singing voice, actor's voice, broadcasters, teachers, telemarketers, executives...

-Voice and linguistics: phonetics (production, articulation, acoustics, perception...), prosody, phonology, applied linguistics (forensics, computational...)

-Voice and neuroscience: neuro-anatomy, motor learning, neural plasticity...

-Technology and voice applications: voice engineering, telecommunications, telephony, speech synthesis, inverse filtering analysis technologies...

-Clinical voice disorders/speech therapy: anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, rehabilitation, pathologies...

 

Call for Papers

Abstract submission: until May 15, 2016

 

• Proposals for communications will be approximately 500 words long (including references) and must be accompanied by the name of the author/s, academic affiliation and five keywords. They will be sent by email to the address ievoz.info@gmail.com as an attachment to that email in .doc or .docx format.

• The proposal must be an original scientific research, clearly written. It should provide a concise summary of the objectives, state of the art, methodology, key results and major conclusions of the study.

 

• If you use any special font in the abstract, attach also that font with the proposal.

• Both abstracts and communications shall be written in Spanish, because it is the main language of the congress. However, works are also accepted in English.

• Communications will last 20 minutes + 10 minutes for questions. Workshops/seminars will take 45 minutes.

 

Acceptance of papers to be presented at the conference is subject to approval by the Scientific Committee. The responses of acceptance will be sent on mid July 2016.

 

Book of Abstracts

Accepted papers will be part of the Book of Abstracts of the Congress. In any case, for a communication to be included in the book of abstracts, it will require the registration in the Congress, as a communicator, of at least one of its authors.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Equipment:

A computer PC OS Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating system is available for the communicators. If you use older versions than the ones available, you should check the compatibility of the presentations before each communication.

In addition to that, there will be a projector, sound system  and Internet connection. Please do not forget to write an email if you need any additional equipment: ievoz.info@gmail.com
