ABOUT

Orthoepy comes from the Greek ortos (correct) and epos (speech) and means the study of the correct pronunciation of a language with special emphasis in vowel production and correct consonants articulation.

We want to characterize the correct phonetics for singers of each language or variety involved in this project in order to reduce the non-native accent.

HispaSong in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Teachers of Singing and Spanish Institute of Voice have launched this project and are starting with the standard European Spanish (Castilian Spanish).
